Manchester City 3-2 Tottenham – In an enthralling second half, Manchester City score a penalty with the last kick of the game to secure a vital win.

The first half had little to no chances for either side, and it was more of a chess match, as 1st place hosted 3rd in a crucial game. Last time out, City had beaten Spurs 5-1.

It was Manchester City who took the lead though in this one, and it was former gunner Samir Nasri, after a fantastic through ball from David Silva. It got even better for Manchester City, has moments later Lescott forced the ball over the line from a corner. Tottenham scored though, at a vital time as Savic made a mistake, letting in Jermaine Defoe to take past Hart and finish into an open goal. Tottenham had completed the comeback only a few minutes later, as the 4th goal in 9 minutes happened, as Gareth Bale scored a fantastic curler from outside the box. Balotelli was fortunate not to have been sent off after appearing to stamp on Scott Parker. In an incredible final minute of the match, a break found Bale squaring Defoe, who missed a tap in from 2 yards, as he couldn’t connect properly enough on the stretch. However, down the other end, a long ball managed to cause havoc and Ledley King brought down Mario Balotelli, and a penalty was rewarded. Mario Balotelli finished the penalty with a calm head, and won this extraordinary game for Manchester City.
