Chelsea 3-3 Manchester United – Manchester United manage to come back from 3-0 down to secure a valuable point at Stamford Bridge.

In the first half, there was little action as Manchester United edged the play and had a few key decisions turned down. Daniel Sturridge created Chelsea’s first clear cut chance and his close ranged cross was deflected in my Evans as Chelsea took the lead.

In the second half, Chelsea came flying out the blocks, as Fernando Torres’ cross found Mata who smashed in a great volley just 25 seconds in. Chelsea went 3-0 up with a header from David Luiz as they were in dreamland. Manchester United were not out of it yet though, as they brought it back to 3-1 with Rooney scoring a penalty on the 57th minute. Another penalty was given, a soft one too, as Rooney once again scored from the spot, and there was over 20 minutes remaining. United were in the ascendency and dominated the game towards the end. Rooney missed a great chance, but from the save, Ryan Giggs picked the ball up, and crossed the ball for Hernandez to finish and make it 3-3, quite unbelievable. In the final moments, Mata’s great free kick was saved by De Gea, one of the saves of the season.

In the first half, the away side were the dominant team but were wasteful in good positions. However, in the stoppage time of the first half, a Ryan Giggs cross found Antonio Valencia who headed in at the back post.

Arsenal played better in the second half, and squandered a few chances, but manage to score a great counter attacking goal, finished by Robin Van Persie who stroke the ball home. However, Manchester United finished the game stronger, and some more great work from Valencia found Danny Wellback in the box to smash United in the lead again, and give the visitors a crucial away win.

Manchester City 3-2 Tottenham – In an enthralling second half, Manchester City score a penalty with the last kick of the game to secure a vital win.

The first half had little to no chances for either side, and it was more of a chess match, as 1st place hosted 3rd in a crucial game. Last time out, City had beaten Spurs 5-1.

It was Manchester City who took the lead though in this one, and it was former gunner Samir Nasri, after a fantastic through ball from David Silva. It got even better for Manchester City, has moments later Lescott forced the ball over the line from a corner. Tottenham scored though, at a vital time as Savic made a mistake, letting in Jermaine Defoe to take past Hart and finish into an open goal. Tottenham had completed the comeback only a few minutes later, as the 4th goal in 9 minutes happened, as Gareth Bale scored a fantastic curler from outside the box. Balotelli was fortunate not to have been sent off after appearing to stamp on Scott Parker. In an incredible final minute of the match, a break found Bale squaring Defoe, who missed a tap in from 2 yards, as he couldn’t connect properly enough on the stretch. However, down the other end, a long ball managed to cause havoc and Ledley King brought down Mario Balotelli, and a penalty was rewarded. Mario Balotelli finished the penalty with a calm head, and won this extraordinary game for Manchester City.

Swansea 3-2 Arsenal – Arsenal fall to back to back defeats, as Swansea celebrate a memorable victory which puts them in the top half of the table.

It was a great start for Arsenal, as Robin Van Persie was clean through on goal and managed to steady himself to deliver a great finish. Ramsey brought down Dyer for a penalty for Swansea, as Scott Sinclair stepped up to finish.

Nathan Dyer was involved in the next goal of the game, as he found some space outside the box to unleash a great shot past the keeper to put The Swans 2-1 up. Henry was then introduced and then finally Arsenal made it level as Theo Walcott beat the offside trap and finished well. However, it would only take Swansea 16 seconds from the restart to take the lead again, as the some poor marking allowed Danny Graham a free run at goal as he excellently finished past the keeper. Swansea managed to hold on and win a fantastic match.

Barcelona 4-2 Real Betis – Barcelona avoid a slight scare when they gave up a 2 goal lead against Real Betis, but managed to pick up the three points.

We thought it was going to be a routine victory when Barcelona put themselves 2-0 up in the first 12 minutes, with goals from Xavi and Messi. However, just 20 minutes later Real Betis half the deficit as Ruben Castro turned in a close range shot.

In the second half, Real Betis had completed the comeback as Roque Santa Cruz scored a stunning finish from outside the box. If Barcelona were to draw, they would be 7 points behind Real Madrid. However, Alexis Sanchez was clean through and his shot managed to creep in to make it 3-2 to Barcelona. Messi confirmed the points with his second goal, as he scored a penalty.

Both goals came in the first half, and it was Tottenham who put their noses in front, as Bale’s cross was turned in by Adebayor in the 7th minute. Chelsea equalised in the 23rd minute, as Ashley Cole crossed it and a unmarked Sturridge steered it into an open net.

There were no goals in the second half, but still plenty of action. Tottenham had a glorious chance in the last minute as Adebayor’s goal bound shot was blocked from John Terry with an heroic goal line clearance.
