He managed to find the space in the goal, as Liverpool took the lead.

It got even better for Liverpool as Gerrard was on the score sheet again, as Suarez set him up to finish from close range. Everton made 3 substitutions to try and get back into the game, but Liverpool and Steven Gerrard wrapped things up in the last minute, as Gerrard scored a tap in to earn himself a hat trick.

Daniel Alves put Barcelona ahead with 10 minutes to go before half time. It was a well worked goal with the right back tapping it in at the back post.

Atletico Madrid improved in the second half, and deserved to equalise as Falcao finished a close ranged volley from an incoming corner. Barcelona did manage to take the lead again, and it was a outrageously good free kick from Lionel Messi, as he dipped the shot into the far corner. Superb goal, and a vital win for Barcelona.

Rayo had the better chances in the first half, in this early kick off, but couldn’t make the most of their opportunities.

The only goal in the game came in the first 15 minutes of the second half, and it was a truly special goal. From a corner, Ronaldo was able to back heel the ball 10 yards away from the goal to finish it in the bottom corner, a must see goal. Real Madrid held on for another important victory.

Arsenal won here 2-0 when they came here back in 2008 but this match couldn’t of gotten more worse for them. Kevin Prince Boateng, former Spurs player, scored a brilliant goal to give AC Milan the lead. Just before half time, Ibrahimovic beat the offside trap and managed to set up Robinho for the header.

Arsenal knew they would probably now need an away goal to come back into the tie. The next goal was vital, and it was for the home side again, a Vermaelen slip allowed Robinho to shoot and score his second. Ibrahimovic got brought down for a penalty, and it was him who stepped up to score. A 4-0 win here should see them through to the next round, knocking Arsenal out.
